TK TECHNOLOGY

We’re happy to tell you what we use in our sticks, we’re proud of them. There’s no secrets. In our Tech Zone we’ll give you an explanation of the materials, shapes and technologies used and what they mean for you as a player.

Integrated Dampening System

Included in the handle within the structure of the stick is an enhanced piezoelectric fibre cell which converts vibration waves firstly to an electrical signal which is then dissipated as heat energy, all of which is undetectable to the player. By using IDS, we are able to produce sticks with extreme stiffness without the need to compromise on touch and feel.

Nano Technology

A construction which enhances the mechanical strength of the stick to provide maximum stiffness and potential power output.

Reactive Liquid Polymer

A special polymeric additive that improves the strength, durability and performance of the stick.

Carbotrax

A special triaxal weave featuring fabric woven at 0, +60 and -60 offers increased rigidity and structural strength over more traditional biaxal materials. The triaxal weave results in increased torsional rigidity and lighter weight to produce high performance sticks that offer excellent power output and feel

EpoFlex

A modified rubber technology that enhances the bonding of the rubber with epoxy molecules to create a material that provides superior shock absorption.

Graphene Matrix

A matrix system which includes a conventional epoxy resin along with a revolutionary material GRAPHENE, which provides high impact, flexural and tensile strength. This Graphene Matrix results in a significant improvement in micro-hardness when compared to other matrix systems.

Advance Matrix Construction

A careful blend of carbon, aramid and glassfibre to create an enhanced construction that results in greater potential output and increased feel.

B10 Hybrid

A technology that fuses a composite shaft with a wooden head to provide a stick that generates the power and stiffness of a composite, but with the feel and control of a wooden stick.

Ballistix

A high performance triaxal weave resulting in a significant increase in torsional rigidity to offer maximum power output and ultralight weight. The Ballistix triaxal weave enables better maoeuvrability during the manufacturing process to offer greater performance and distribution of the materials in key areas.

Traction Control

A careful blend of carbon, aramid and glassfibre to create an enhanced construction that results in greater potential output and increased feel.

TI Reinforcement

The wooden hook is reinforced by a small blend of Carbon, Aramid and Glassfibre for more power, durability and strenght.

What does this mean "K"?

The ‘K’ refers to the number of carbon fibre rovings (strands) that are wound together to create ‘tows’. The tows are then interwoven into the carbon fibre fabrics to create sheets. For example, 24k carbon fibre features 24,000 individual filaments in a tow, with 12K featuring 12,000 individual filaments etc. We’re proud to state clearly what we put in our sticks. No secrets. So, before you start trying to compare one stick against another make sure you have all the information and know exactly what you’re being told. Just because something states 70% carbon doesn’t mean it’s 70% of the premium stuff…there’s a big difference between 18ct and 24ct Gold!

24k CARBON

This is a 24K spread tow carbon fibre which offers exceptional strength and stiffness compared to biaxial carbon fibres. Triaxial fabrics are composed of three sets of parallel yarns, resulting in a material that demonstrates quasi-isotropic properties. The end result is a stick with a significant increase in torsional rigidity to offer maximum strength, power output and ultra-lightweight.

12K CARBON

A 12K spread tow carbon fibre which sees the raw carbon fibre undergo an unbundling process aligning the fibres precisely on their axis which enables them to vastly improve performance compared to unbundled materials. This results in a stick that can maximise performance from its raw materials.

8K Carbon

A biaxial carbon fibre designed to offer high strength and dissipating of impact forces. The unidirectional carbon roving is aligned at the zero angle with unwoven carbon and then bonded together in sheet form. This process helps to increase the stiffness and realise maximum potential power output.

3K Carbon

Our 3K biaxial carbon fibre offers excellent all-round performance and works perfectly in our TK 3 Series where a balance is needed between performance and affordability.

Our Mulberry wood is carefully selected for its durability, consistency and flexibility.
The wood is then combined with glassfibre for added reinforcement to provide excellent entry level sticks.

goalie fatty

The TK "Goalie Fatty" shape has been specially developed for goalkeeping. The shape is straight and reinforced in the lower shaft area - that's why we call it Fatty.

goalie curved

The TK "Goalie Curved" shape has been specially developed for goalkeeping. The shape is straight and becomes a little thinner in the lower shaft area. The curved shape offers an enlarged defense area - is preferred in indoor hockey, but can also be used in field hockey.
